Dunki is an upcoming Indian comedy-drama film in Hindi, based on an illegal immigration technique used to send people across the border. This technic is called “Donkey Flight”. The film is directed by the famous hindi film Director Rajkumar Hirani, who also wrote the screenplay with Abhijat Joshi and Kanika Dhillon.
The film is produced under the banner of Red Chillies Entertainment and Jio Studios. The film Dunki stars Shah Rukh Khan, Taapsee Pannu, Vickey Kaushal, and Boman Irani.
Dunki film was announced in 2020 and the screenplay was completed in the 3rd quarter of year 2021 and started around September 2021. The film was completed in less than one year.
Picturisation of the film Dunki took place at different locations in India and abroad. The major shooting of the film have been done in Mumbai, Kashmir, Budapest, London, Jeddah, Neom etc. The soundtrack is composed by Pritam Chakrabotrty. Editing and cinematography is handled by the Director Rajkumar Hirani and C.K. Muraleedharan respectively.
Dunki is now set for release. The film will be released in overseas territories on 21st December 2023, and will be released on the 22nd December 2023 in India.
