Veteran Actor and Comedian Junior Mehmood Dies At 67, He lost His Battle With Cancer
Naeem Sayyed, popularly known as Jr Mehmood a veteran actor and one of the best comedian of India film industry, whose nickname was on the famous comedian Mehmood, breathed his last in hospital, Mumbai, yesterday night at the age of 67, he was born on 15th November 1956. He has acted in over 250 films in different languages. It was revealed, few weeks back that he was fighting stage 4 cancer and his condition worsened last night.
Naeem Sayyed alias Jr Mehmood was part of many hit films including Kati Patang, Mera Naam Joker, Parvarish, and Do Aur Do Paanch.
His career was started as a child actor in the film ‘Naunihal’, starring Sanjeev Kumar, veteran actor Balraj Sahni and Indrani Mukherjee. From ‘Naunihal’, which was released in 1967, till now, the actor gave himself the name Junior Mehmood as his ideal was comedy actor Mehmood. Apart from acting in over 250 films, the actor produced several Marathi films as well.
