In continuation of my earlier post regarding Visa Free Countries, https://explorewitharvind.com/11-visa-free-countries/, further a good news for Indian Travellers that Iran has also finished requirement of VISA for Indian tourists.
In an important move aimed at increasing tourism and promoting international goodwill, the Iranian Cabinet, under the leadership of Minister Ezzatollah Zarghami, has decided to waive visa requirements for visitors from India. This strategic decision reflects Iran’s dedication to diversifying its tourist demographic and fostering positive global perceptions.
This will enable more Indians to visit Iran to see and experience their different places, architecture, food and know more about their culture. It will create a very positive environment and strengthen bond between both the countries and their residents.
Now, Indian may travel 12 following VISA free countries.

- Thailand
- Malaysia
- Vietnam
- Maldives
- Mauritius
- Taiwan
- Nepal
- Qatar
- Seychelles
- Sri Lanka
- Iran
VISA-WAIVER PROGRAMME FOR 33 COUNTRIES
The Iran has implemented visa-waiver programme for a total of 33 countries, showcasing the country’s commitment to expanding its tourism industry. Recently added countries are India, Russia, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Brazil, Mauritius, Seychelles, Japan, Bosnia, Tanzania, and Vietnam, amongst others.
Iran has previously introduced visa-free travel for few countries, including Turkey, Azerbaijan, Oman, China, Armenia, Lebanon, and Syria.
